Using social media clips found online, we revealed how the NYPD – with no provocation or warning – surrounded, assaulted, and arrested hundreds of protesters in a majority Black and brown neighborhood that has long experienced police brutality and systemic racism. This video and report helped with a legal case which awarded up to $4 to $6 million against the NYPD.
